Barry House<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Barry House is one of four Outhouses located on Marlow Hill. It was the first House to built by Frances Dove in 1897 that was situated away from the main Abbey. The House was named after Sir John Wolfe Barry, who had raised the money for the new buildings and was one of the first members of Council for the School. His father was the architect of the Houses of Parliament. Barry now accommodates around 50 pupils in the original building on Marlow Hill: renovations since 1897 have taken place. Barry pupils live in an environment which provides opportunities for them to learn integrity, self-confidence and self-esteem, resilience and to be reflective, enterprising and inquisitive whilst nurturing sensitivity to the feelings and rights of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
